Boxes of abandoned kittens are a normal thing in Athens. So it was no surprise to Aragorn, an adopted pup, and his fur mom when they came across one while they were taking a walk. What’s surprising was that the box was not empty, and in fact, it was full of adorable kittens.
Without hesitation, Aragorn’s mom took the kittens and brought them home. Starting from day one, Aragorn took his job as the kittens’ foster dad very seriously. He could be seen minding the little furballs and playing with them. Aragorn was becoming a real pro in being a foster dad for these little kitties.
This box of deserted kittens, and other animals such as puppies, bunnies, and birds, were left on the mountainside. People are most likely to find them empty rather than filled. This is such a common occurrence that SCARS were able to rescue 25 kittens in a month.
In the statement given by Aragorn’s mom, who is a volunteer in SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society), the kittens, on this occasion, we’re in luck because she and Aragorn happened upon them before they became dinner to wild foxes.
She also said that Aragorn was the real rescuer. He pulled his mom to the direction of the box while they were taking a walk near the mountain. If not for Aragorn, his mom would not have found the poor little kittens.
With the help of his mom, Aragorn would foster these darling little kittens for the time being. They plan to provide the litter with a safe and secure shelter and great care. The kittens will also stay with their foster dad until they are healthy and old enough to be adopted.
For now, Aragorn will continue to look after these cute bunch of kittens as they are waiting to find their forever homes.
