Stray Pit Bull Living Under A Jeep Is Now A Certified Couch Potato

Stray Pit Bull Living Under A Jeep Is Now A Certified Couch Potato

Mellanie September 5, 2020

Living life as a stray dog, Stella didn’t know what happiness was all about. When rescuers found her, she had the saddest face that they have ever seen. She was living under a Jeep outside a mechanic’s shop and had barely anything to live on. But luckily, her fortune was about to change.

Your life is going to be amazing from now on

Briana O’Leary, an animal advocate and a rescuer from iPittytheBull Foundation, saw Stella lying down under a vehicle. Her organization works mainly with Pit Bulls, rescuing and educating people about the breed. Her heart was instantly broken with the state that Stella was in.

So Briana got out of her car and walked to the dog. As with most of her rescues, she first tried to gain Stella’s trust. The kind-hearted rescuer got a can of dog food and a plastic spoon. She opened the can then started feeding the pooch.

At first, Stella was reluctant to go near her rescuer, so Briana had to stretch her arms under the Jeep. As the dog most likely hadn’t had a meal for days, she accepted the food. Briana would then try to coax the dog out by shortening her reach. Slowly, Stella would move to get closer to the spoon.

With time and patience, Briana got Stella near her enough to get a leash around her. Stella was at first shocked when the leash closed in on her neck, but then, she relaxed enough to be led from under the vehicle. This was when Brina saw how malnourished the dog was and all the wounds dotting her body and head.

With Stella now inside Briana’s car, they went to a vet to get her some treatment. In the car, Briana assured the Pit Bull that this was the start of an amazing life for her. After she got her treatment, the dog was brought to the group’s shelter where she will be staying while getting rehabilitated.

A new home

While Stella was being treated, her story was shared on the group’s Facebook page. A couple saw the post and grew an interest in the dog. When Stella was finally ready to be adopted, Jenna Hardy applied for the adoption.

Stella now lives with Jenna and her boyfriend and has become a very playful and sweet dog. She show’s her appreciation for her new life constantly. And her most favorite thing in the world now is lying on the couch.
