Maria is a graphic designer and runs her own online business in personal development, and her partner Gianluca is a strength and conditioning coach for football players in Gatineau, Quebec. They have a dog named Lupo, which means wolf in Italian. Lupo is an Alaskan Malamute. He is six years old. Gianluca chose and purchased Lupo from a home breeder in Quebec, Canada, from a litter of 6. Lupo was the only male in that litter.
When I asked her, what she loves about Lupo, she explains, “His character is phenomenal. Docile and calm character, but confident. Big and fluffy and always has a happy face. An easy dog that’s very adaptable to your habits. There are not many malamutes out there, so just that makes him stand out and his good looks! Malamutes owners often rave about their human eyes and personality. He also doesn’t bark and howls only when he’s excited.”
She says, “When there’s no food around will often find him in a cool spot against a wall, on his back in this awkward twisted position snoozing away. He loves naps! He loves getting touched by people and will lean on you and paw you, so you don’t stop.”
” Lupo is part of our family. We treat him like a son. It’s always the 3 of us, and we take him almost everywhere we go. He loves car rides! He loves walks and being off-leash, so any trail hikes off-leash in the winter is his favorite! He can stay at -30 degrees Celcius outside with no issues. He loves to sleep on snow. Anything that keeps him cool. In the summertime, he has his neck directly on the air conditioning vent!”
When I asked Maria, what is Lupo’s favorite snack, she said all butter (peanut, almond, and actual butter).
Bonding
Maria works from home, so she bonds with Lupo all day, and if Lupo can tell you what he wants, he wouldn’t have it any other way. He loves the company and doesn’t like being alone. He will come outside in the sun just to be with the wonderful couple, even though it’s too hot for him. He is so loyal to his owners.
Just look at the video below on how Lupo would demand more scratches and back rubs from Maria in all his cuteness.
By the way, he even has his own Instagram account @lupobold. Check it out.
This family of three once again demonstrates the link we have with our paws.
